Hey gang...There's a brand new blues book out on the market by long time blues journalist, Art Tipaldi. No pretences here; I'll tell ya right off the bat that I mention this book proudly, as one of the blues children there in. There are basically two categories of blues children in the book; those who are actual off-spring of blues legends who are carrying the torch such as Bernard Allison, Shemekia Copeland and Kenny Neal, and those of us who toured and mentored with blues legends like I did with Albert Collins. It is truly an honor to be a part of this group of folks who are very much, my favorite artists today: Coco Montoya, Robert Cray, Rod and Honey Piazza, Duke Robillard, Bob Margolin, and many, many more.
This is not a picture book per-say, though of course there are pix of all the artists: It is a book full of personal stories (quite a few very entertaining ones, if I may add) and therefore is a total joy for those of us who still enjoy reading!!
