Blues Bytes!
We had a ball at the Morrisville PA blues festival and I hadn't heard the headliner, Studebaker John and the Hawks in several years. He reminded me by his powerful performance what a really great bluesman he is and he's got a kickin' Chicago band in tow!
Also on that day, I met the youngest bluesman yet. Ten year old Eric Stickel plays blues guitar, harp and sings! I wouldn't even mention him if he wasn't really, really good. No fluff here folks, just the blues! Watch out for this one! And a very nice person to boot! You go young man, go!
It seems we're following our blues brothers, Smokin' Joe and Bnois King. They were one day ahead of us on the trail in Colorado - so close, but never together! It would have been great to see them and hang and jam but I guess not. They did leave notes for me though.
