Oh Canada!

We also had the same experience in the French part of Canada at the Trois Riviere Blues Festival. The setting for the festival, right on the banks of the St. Lawrence River, is potentially a fantastic one, but being on the river, it was pretty intense during a storm. And did I mention the rain came down during the same tune? "Atras de tus Ojos!"

We had a day off before heading to Rockland Maine, for our next festival so we drove up along the St. Lawrence to Quebec City and headed for "old town" Quebec where they were also holding an international music festival. If you can't afford a trip across the pond to Europe, head up to this part of Canada that looks and feels just like Europe, and where everyone speaks French! It's so beautiful, and the food is great!
