OTTOWA BLUES FESTIVAL…July 2008

Man, I wish I had a picture of our performance at the Ottowa blues festival! I was able to put my dream band together on stage with David Maxwell on piano and Kaz Kazanoff and the Texas horns turning my trio into a seven piece band. Memories of Albert Collins and the Icebeakers! And here’s why this came about: the festival hires these guys for the entire two weeks of its running, and pays them just to be on call to play with any artist who might desire their services! How cool is that! With two mega stages offering top pop star performances, and three or four roots music stages, this is one of the biggest festivals ever! I would encourage anyone to treat themselves at least once to a few days at the Ottowa Music Festival! Oh, by the way, someone did upload our performance on YOUTUBE, though I can’t vouch for the quality.
