DEBBIE DAVIES ON XM RADIO...On Nov. 28th, Debbie was a guest DJ with Bill Wax on XM satellite radio.

This coincided with Debbie's latest CD, BLUES BLAST, reaching the number one spot on his “Bluesville” show.

Bill let Debbie select all of the tunes for the entire three hours and the two shared enthusiastic banter about all of the artists featured. While at the XM studios, Deb recorded some solo performances of her tunes to be aired sometime in the future. We'll keep ya posted.

It's here! The new CD, BLUES BLAST, by Debbie Davies is now available for blues lovers everywhere! Truly a blast, the CD captures Debbie and friends Coco Montoya, Tab Benoit, and Charlie Musselwhite performing live, together in the studio! Backed by the Broadcasters, Ronnie Earl's old band (Rod Carey, bass; Per Hanson, drums; & Bruce Katz, organ), the grooves are tough, deep, and jammin'.

The reviews are rolling in and the consensus is unanimous: Blues Blast is poised to be one of the year's top blues releases. Check out the reviews at Debbie's website. You can purchase BLUES BLAST through the website, or at any retail outlet that sells blues music, and of course, at a live Debbie Davies show!

Also coming soon, BLUES BLAST T-shirts! These will be available at Debbie's website and at live shows.
Please keep your eyes on the website for tour date information and more!

Debbie and the Band send out their deepest sympathies to the entire blues community with the loss of Carey Bell. He was truly an American treasure, and loved by all. Debbie and the Band had the honor and the pleasure of backing Carey up at the Rockland Blues Festival in Maine. This performance can also be viewed at YOUTUBE.

As Debbie and the boys prepare to embark on a month-long, cross-country tour, the music for their new CD is complete and in the hands of Telarc Records.

A release date for the project looks like it's gonna be sometime in August. And a new RETRO-CLIP from 1991 is up on YOUTUBE featuring Debbie Davies and Janiva Magness on tour with Fingers Taylor and the Lady Fingers Review. The Lady Fingers toured as the opening act for Jimmy Buffett's Outpost Tour. Check it out at www.youtube.com/debbiedavies.

The posting of this clip is quite timely as Deb and Janiva will hook up three times during this upcoming tour and join forces for some very special shows. The package will perform on March 16th at Famous Daves in Minneapolis, March 17th at East Gate Hall in Wausau, WI, and April 7th in Bay City Michigan at the State Theater. Joining the band on bass is Rod Carey. Many blues fans will remember Rod as part of the force, along with Per Hanson and Bruce Katz, behind Ronnie Earl during his 'hey-day.' Since Ronnie's retirement, Rod has been a member of the Bruce Katz Band and has appeared on numerous blues albums, including Deb's latest and an earlier Telarc release, HOMESICK FOR THE ROAD.

Debbie Davies has been in the studio this month and is currently putting the finishing touches on a new CD that will be released around Sept. 1st, 2007, on Telarc Records. Joining Debbie in the studio for this special blues project were Charlie Musselwhite, Coco Montoya, and Tab Benoit. More about this project as it unfolds. Check out some pictures!

NEW at YOUTUBE...check out Debbie's RETRO-CLIPS appearing each month. Featured for February is a clip from 1986 when Debbie was the guitar player for Maggie Mayall and the Cadillacs. The Cadillacs were an all female Blues and R'nB Band fronted by bluesman John Mayall's wife, Maggie. The band often toured as the opening act for the Bluesbreakers. Shot in 8mm black and white film at L.A.'s famous Palomino Club, the video is funky and grainy and the fashions are oh, so 80's! Check back each month for a new RETRO-CLIP...FYI!!
